In the spirit of the ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a self-organized event that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDx events are meant to start conversations about numerous topics where speakers share their inspiring journey and spark in-depth discussions. These local, self-organized events are known as TEDx, where x = independently organized TED events.
TEDxSereneMeadows is an independently organized event based in the city of Nasik and is also North Maharashtra’s biggest TEDx conference. Since its inception in 2019, this is the third edition of the forum. In the past 2 years, we’ve hosted bright minds that changed how the audience looked at the world. At every event, we have seen people be amazed, astonished, and startled by our speakers’ talks.
In 2021, adhering to the new norms, TEDxSereneMeadows decided to take it up a notch and host the global speakers on a Virtual Reality Communications platform called Surrogate. Surrogate is a one of its kind, VR platform where the users interact virtually in any realm they want.
This is the first time in the entire history that an Indian TEDx is being hosted on a VR platform.
To make things easier for the audience, Surrogate is compatible on all devices so that you can attend the event on any device at any given place. Seeking inspiration from the online events, one of the best things about TEDxSereneMeadows 2021 is that the audience will get a chance to interact with other people and the speakers on a Virtual Reality platform.
The theme for this year is ‘Made in Lockdown.’ Collectively, the lockdown has been a considerable part of our lives, and so we decided to bring together speakers from all over the world who changed the narrative in the lockdown. They will provide us with a different perspective on the whole scenario. When the world as a whole was at home, these people were determined to attain their goals and give hope and inspiration.
This year, we have a line-up of 13 exponential speakers from diverse fields like science and technology, innovation, art design, dance, and much more. Our speakers include Guinness World Record Holders, National Award Winners, Ph.D. holders, and more! We also have 3 exciting performances.
TEDx SereneMeadows is also the first Indian TEDx to host a Japanese national, Harry Hakuei Kosato. All our 13 speakers are innovators and creators. Our goal is to bring together bright minds and share ideas on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, and to provoke conversations that matter. Our speakers have a prolific stock of knowledge to share with you.
