Dhokla.

Dhokla is a famous Gujarati food that is prepared in a variety of ways throughout the country. This is a quick and easy dhokla dish that is both delicious and healthful! Using besan and a vibrant chilli tempering, this recipe is steamed and ready in about 30 minutes.

They’re ideal for a full and filling breakfast, as well as a snack in the afternoon or evening.

 

Ingredients:

For Dhokla Batter:

  • Gram flour -1 1/2 cup 
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp  
  • Sugar- 1/2 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp 
  • Eno fruit salt – 1 tsp
  • Water

 

For Dhokla syrup:

  • Oil – 1 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilies – 5 nos. (slit)
  • Curry Leaves
  • Water – 1/2 cup
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp 
  • Sugar – 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
