Pita Pocket.

Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish where meats are barbecued on a rotating spit. The chicken is served in a warm pita with vegetables and a creamy tahini-yogurt sauce in this delectable entrée.

It is quite popular in many parts of the world and can be found practically anywhere, from restaurants to fast food chains.

You can serve it with fresh salad, homemade pita bread and special sauces.

 

Ingredients:

  • Pita Bread 4-6
  • Chicken fillet 500g
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 4 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili flakes 1 tsp
  • Tikka masala 1 tsp
  • Chili sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp

For Salad

  • Cucumber 1
  • Green chilies 4-6
  • Onion 1 (sliced)
  • Vinegar 1/2 cup
  • Salt ¼ tsp

For Mayonnaise Sauce

  • Mayonnaise ½ cup
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Red chili sauce 1 tsp
